The rashag on the left
on vuv adar 1989 the "rashag" reb shmaryahu gurary, the rebbes brother in law past away. the rebbe attended the gathering marking the setting of the Rashag's headstone, which took place the Sunday following the shivah .
even though he was the older son in law of the frierdike rebbe, and at first was thought to be the candidate for rebbe, after the rebbe took on leadership, he immediately gave him self over to the rebbe.
the rashag was appointed by the frierdike rebbe to be the menahel of tomchei temimim, and he did so on till the very last day.
